The Verse Viewer
The Verse Viewer
The verse viewer is where you read Bible text. It appears whenever you open a chapter or search for a verse.
What you see
- Verse text: Each verse is shown on its own line, with the verse number on the left
- Controls bar: A sticky toolbar at the top with buttons to adjust your reading experience
- Chapter navigation: At the bottom of the page, buttons to go to the previous or next chapter
Controls bar
The controls bar lets you change:
- Font size — make the text larger or smaller
- Line spacing — add more or less space between lines
- Theme — switch between light and dark mode
- Study mode — turn on concordance and word study features (see Study Mode and Concordance)
Reading tips
- The verse text uses a clear, large serif font for easy reading
- On dark mode, the background is very dark and the text is warm gold — easy on the eyes at night
- Your font and spacing preferences are saved automatically, so next time you visit they will be the same
