Study Mode and Concordance

Study Mode and Concordance

Study mode lets you dig deeper into the original Hebrew and Greek words behind the translation.

How to turn it on

  1. Open any chapter or verse in the verse viewer
  2. In the controls bar, click the Study toggle button
  3. The verse text will change — concordance words become highlighted and clickable

What happens in study mode

  • Click a verse: The verse expands to show its concordance rows — a table of the original Hebrew or Greek words that make up that verse
  • Hover over a highlighted word: A small popup (popover) appears showing the original word, its Strong's number, and a short definition
  • Click a Strong's number: You are taken to the full lexicon entry for that word

Concordance rows

Each concordance row shows:

Column What it means
Name The original Hebrew or Greek word
Translation How it is translated in this verse
Source The Strong's number (for example H1234)
Status Whether the alignment is verified or AI-suggested

Turning it off

Click the Study toggle again to return to normal reading mode. Your preference is remembered.
