Here are some helpful patterns to get the most out of the search.

Tips

  • Spelling: The search is forgiving with accents and capitalization. genesis works the same as Genesis.
  • Book names: You can use common abbreviations like Gen, Ps, Rom, Rev.
  • Phrases: Type multiple words to search for an exact phrase, for example living water.
  • No results? Try a simpler word. For example, instead of "righteousness", try "righteous".

Combining features

After finding a verse, you can:
1. Open it in the verse viewer to read the full chapter
2. Turn on Study Mode to see concordance data
3. Click any concordance word to jump to the lexicon
